About Retriever
Retriever handles laptop and monitor returns for IT and HR teams. It sends the employee a box, a prepaid label and reminders, and it can also store devices, prepare them and send them back out, or dispose of them with certified data destruction.
What this integration does for you
Stored devices stay in your inventory. A returned laptop in Retriever's warehouse is still one of your IT assets. Velory imports it with its specs and status, so it doesn't vanish from view while it's off anyone's desk.
Reuse before you buy. When a new hire needs a laptop, you can see what's sitting in storage, with RAM, storage and CPU, before you place an order.
Status stays current. Velory reads each device's status from Retriever, so a laptop that's gone in for repair or off to recycling shows that in Velory too.
Get started
You'll need a Retriever Enterprise tier API token. Open the integrations marketplace in Velory, choose HelloRetriever and paste in the token. After that, the list updates on its own every hour.
Data availability
Once connected, devices are imported with:
- Serial number
- Manufacturer and model
- Specs: RAM, storage, CPU and screen size
- Operating system
- Status
- Warehouse location
- Asset tag
- Whether the charger is included
