About Apple Business
Apple Business is Apple's hub for companies that run on Apple devices, covering device management, staff accounts and getting a fleet ready for MDM. Macs, iPhones and iPads your company buys from Apple or an authorised reseller are registered to your organisation there, which makes it the first place a new device appears.
What this integration does for you
Devices are in Velory from the day they're bought. Velory reads the serial number, model, order number and order date from Apple Business. The laptop waiting in its box for next month's hire is in your inventory, ready to assign.
Warranty dates sit on the device record. Velory pulls the AppleCare coverage for each device and sets the warranty end date from the longest active plan. When a MacBook needs a repair, you can see whether it's still covered without logging in to another portal.
It works alongside your MDM. Apple Business tells Velory what you own, and Jamf, Iru or Microsoft Intune tell it how each device is set up and who has it. Together they give every device one record through its whole IT lifecycle, through to certified end of life.
Get started
In Apple Business, create an API account with read access to your organisation's devices and MDM servers. Then open the integrations marketplace in Velory, choose Apple Business and enter the Client ID, Key ID and private key. Velory syncs every hour, and you can run a sync yourself whenever you need fresh data.

FAQ
Does Velory integrate with Apple Business?
Yes. Velory connects to Apple Business through its API and imports your Apple devices with order details and AppleCare coverage, every hour.
Is Apple Business the same as Apple Business Manager?
Velory connects to the account your team uses at business.apple.com, whichever name you know it by. If you manage your company's Apple devices there, that's the account to connect.
Does Apple Business replace my MDM integration?
They do different jobs. Apple Business tells Velory which devices your company owns and how they're covered. Your MDM adds who uses each device and how it's configured. Velory only reads from Apple Business and changes nothing there.
