The challenge
When Alvaro Foresti became CEO of ZoCom in 2021, he quickly realized that IT equipment was consuming an excessive amount of his time and resources. Purchases were made on the fly, making budget planning a nightmare. And employees were using computers they didn't like. Moreover, ZoCom's management struggled to keep track of equipment usage, and spreadsheets were proving insufficient for the task.
The outcome
Through Velory, ZoCom entered a leasing agreement with DLL and chose Dustin as their main hardware supplier. Both DLL and Dustin were integrated with the Velory Store's backend. Soon after, all employees started ordering their optimal equipment through Velory, leading to a noticeable boost in team morale and productivity. Within a couple of months, all equipment, old and new, was automatically tracked within their Asset Management tool at Velory.

Before Velory
After Velory
Before Velory
ZoCom lacked a clear overview of its IT assets. Work and personal hardware got mixed up. And at times recovering company hardware from employees was impossible. “It was total chaos. We bought things as needed without knowing who was using what”, says Alvaro Foresti, CEO at ZoCom.
After Velory
ZoCom’s team imported all data of existing devices into the Hardware Asset Management tool, including employee equipment, printers, and meeting room hardware. New devices purchased through the Velory Integrated Store were automatically tracked. Within a few months, all active equipment was visible and managed through Velory.
Before Velory
ZoCom's employees were hindered by inadequate hardware, impacting their effectiveness.
“We learned, for example, that many developers prefer Mac computers. It’s what they need to be able to do a good job”, explains Foresti.
After Velory
ZoCom categorized employees into 3 groups based on hardware needs and created tailored bundles. When new equipment is needed, curated options are available at the Velory Store. “This strategy saves us time by eliminating the need to assess each new employee's requirements”, says Foresti.
Before Velory
With missing equipment, at times, ZoCom couldn't promptly offer computers to new employees, delaying their onboarding and even the project kickoffs.
After Velory
Now, ZoCom tracks available equipment and, if needed, invites new hires to order their gear via Velory even before their first day. Foresti estimates that onboarding new employees is now twice as fast.
Before Velory
Previously, ZoCom's hardware purchases were ad hoc and unpredictable, paid for one-off with credit cards. And, in an attempt to limit costs, the new equipment often lacked the necessary specifications.
After Velory
Using Velory's integration with DLL Financial Solutions Partner, ZoCom can lease high-end equipment at predictable monthly costs. “Leasing through Velory was much easier. The support team guided me through the entire process, reducing my worries”, says Foresti.
Velory transformed our IT operations from chaotic to streamlined. It's a one-stop shop that has saved us time, money, and frustration.
